The study abroad office within the international affairs department will offer $2,000 in scholarships to the first eight students admitted into S&T’s semester-long program at Universidad San Francisco de Quito in the Galapagos Islands. The Spring 2020 deadline for admission is September 15.

Universidad San Francisco de Quito is a private liberal arts university in Quito, Ecuador. Students select courses from one of four academic tracks in the biological and social sciences:

• Evolution, ecology and conservation
• Marine ecology
• People, politics and the environment
• Sustainable tourism

Each academic track consists of five intensive three-credit courses taught in three-week modules.

All courses are taught in English. Students can take up to two courses from different tracks. All students are required to take a Spanish conversation class for three-credit hours.
