Sarangapani honored in Hong Kong

Dr. Jagannathan Sarangapani received the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Control System Society’s Transition to Practice Award during the IEEE Conference on Control Technology and Applications in August in Hong Kong. He also delivered a plenary talk during the conference, titled “Learning Controllers: Challenges in Transitioning from Theory to Practice.”

Sarangapani is the Rutledge-Emerson Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at S&T and was named a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors in 2018.

IEEE is the world’s largest professional association for the advancement of technology.
