Interested in S&T’s Three Minute Thesis competition (3MT)? Come to an information session at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center. Learn about eligibility and rules, prizes, tips and tricks, and deadlines.

The contest is designed for graduate students to develop and showcase their research communication skills. Contestants are challenged to present a compelling oration on their dissertation and its significance in three minutes, in language for a non-specialist audience.

The 3MT preliminary competition will be held Wednesday, Nov. 6, and the semi-finals and finals will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7, in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. These rounds are open to the public.
