GGPE students garner scholarships

Three graduate students and one undergraduate student in the geosciences and geological and petroleum engineering department received scholarships from the Society of Exploration Geophysicists. The students and their scholarships include:

Ashutosh Shrivastava, a graduate student, received the Earl D. and Reba C. Griffin Memorial Scholarship for $5,000.

Tuo Wang, a graduate student, received the Earl D. and Reba C. Griffin Memorial Scholarship for $2,500.

Yuchen Yang, a graduate student, received the SEG/Chevron Student Leadership Symposium Travel Grant to the 2019 SEG International Exposition on Sept. 13-17. This travel grant covers registration, hotel, airfare, insurance and a meal allowance.

Audrey Thompson received the SEG Richard and Shirley Hunt Sponsored Scholarship.
