Power outage in T.J. Hall at 11 a.m.

In order to repair electrical damage caused by recent storms, Thomas Jefferson Residence Hall will not have electrical power starting at 11 a.m. today (Thursday, Aug. 22). The temporary power outage is expected to last approximately four hours.
Generators will provide emergency lighting in the hallways as well as a functioning fire alarm system.
Options for lunch in the residence hall’s dining room will be very limited; TJ residents may prefer to get lunch at the Havener Center’s food court or another dining location around campus. The dinner service will be limited and may be slow until the kitchen gets all equipment back online.
“We apologize for this inconvenience and are working closely with Rolla Municipal Utilities to make this repair as quickly as possible,” says Mark Potrafka, director of student support services for auxiliary services.
