Karen Leatherman has been selected to speak at the annual America’s SBDC Conference in Long Beach, California, in September. Leatherman is a small business counselor at Missouri S&T’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), which is part of the university’s technology transfer and economic development department.
The conference theme is exchange and experience. Leatherman is leading a statewide team that will present “Reaching Rural Women in Business: Creating Opportunities for Exchange and Experience.”
America’s SBDC is an association that represents the nationwide network of small business development centers. The annual conference attracts more than 1,300 advisors, trainers and directors.
