Westenberg wins athletic conference award

Dr. Dave Westenberg was presented the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Faculty Mentor Award from the NCAA Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at the conference’s spring business meeting on May 21 in St. Louis.
Westenberg is an associate professor of biological sciences and S&T’s faculty athletics representative.
The GLVC comprises 14 NCAA Division II member institutions spanning Missouri, Illinois, Indianapolis and Kentucky. Although formed and developed as an NCAA Division II basketball conference, the GLVC now sponsors 22 championship sports.
