The holy month of Ramadan will be approximately May 5 to June 5 this year. During this time, practicing Muslims will be fasting from dawn until dusk. Fasting means no food or water and Ramadan celebration often involves gatherings and prayers late into the night.
While it is not required to make accommodation for students observing Ramadan, please keep in mind Muslim students may be hungry, tired and dehydrated, especially if they are in your class late in the afternoon.
Please join us in wishing the Muslim community at Missouri S&T a Happy Ramadan — Ramadan Mubarak!
