Notice of student death

The Missouri S&T community is saddened to learn of the death of Justin E. Tieman, a sophomore in physics from Lee’s Summit, Mo., who died as a result of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident on Sunday, May 19.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 11 p.m. on Phelps County Road 8010, approximately 3 miles from Rolla. Justin’s vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a driveway and some trees, and returned to the roadway. He was ejected from the vehicle, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
