The Student Diversity Initiatives (SDI) department recognized three exceptional women for the 2019 Women’s Hall of Fame Awards on March 23 at the Havener Center. The honorees are:

  • Kate Drowne, professor of English and associate dean for academic affairs in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business
  • LaWanda Jones, a 1991 graduate in chemical engineering from S&T
  • Susan Murray, professor chair of psychological science

The Women’s Hall of Fame recognition has been awarded since 2005 to alumnae or faculty who are selected because of their success, influence, and ability to inspire and impact students, the Missouri S&T community and beyond.
