Perform in the Rolla Town Band this summer

Area musicians are invited to join the Rolla Town Band this summer. The band is open to brass, woodwind, and percussion players age 14 and older. There are no auditions to join and players of all abilities are welcome, including those who have not played in recent years. The band will perform five concerts throughout June and July. All five concerts are free and open to the public.

Rehearsals begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 11 with additional rehearsals on Thursday, June 13; Tuesday, June 18; Tuesday, June 25; Tuesday, July 2; Tuesday, July 9; and Tuesday, July 16. All rehearsals will be held 7-8:30 p.m. in Room 137 Castleman Hall, located on the campus of Missouri S&T at the corner of 10th and Main streets in Rolla.

The band will be conducted by Dr. David Samson, assistant professor of music at Missouri S&T. Organizations and individuals interested in helping sponsor the Rolla Town Band, as well as those who have questions about performing in the ensemble this summer, are encouraged to email Samson at samsondw@mst.edu.
