Department spotlight: South Central Regional Professional Development Center
The South-Central Regional Professional Development Center is officially a part of S&T, within the office of undergraduate studies. Missouri S&T and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) provide funding for the center.
The south-central center is one of nine regional professional development centers in Missouri for public school teachers. This center covers 13 counties and 63 school districts. Teachers in the region turn to the center for professional development.
Staff members provide many resources for teachers, including workshops, as well as a teacher academy and a leadership academy.
