Dr. Bruce McMillin will present the next computer science seminar, titled “How to Write and Present a Research Proposal” 10-10:50 a.m. Monday, March 11, in Room 209 Computer Science Building.
McMillin is a professor of computer science at S&T and interim department chair. He serves as director of S&T’s Center for Information Assurance and co-director of the Center for Smart Living.
In his presentation, McMillin will discuss major tenets of proposal writing and presentation, including the Heilmeyer catechism, the elevator pitch, and the ideas of broader impacts of your proposed work. A group exercise is planned. Come prepared with an idea to pitch. Get more details.
