Dr. John McManus, Curators’ Distinguished Professor of history at S&T, recently delivered a lecture, titled “Echoes of Grant,” to two audiences. He gave the lecture Feb. 27 at the Kansas City Public Library’s Central Library in Kansas City, Missouri, and again on Feb. 28 at the Eisenhower Presidential Library in Abilene, Kansas.
McManus examined the parallels between U.S. Presidents Ulysses Grant and Dwight Eisenhower, delving into Eisenhower’s World War II military campaigns.
