All faculty are invited to attend an event on Monday, April 1, about developing an effective teaching philosophy statement. Dr. Mariesa Crow, Dr. Larry Gragg and Dr. Wayne Huebner will lead the discussion. Registration is required. Register here.
Crow is the Finley Professor of Electrical Engineering. Gragg is a Curators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor emeritus of history. Dr. Wayne Huebner is a professor of materials science and chair of the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE).
Beyond addressing the individual components of a teaching philosophy, you can expect to leave the session having reflected upon the big questions of what teaching means to you. The event will be held 2:15-4:15 p.m. in the Meramec-Gasconade Room of the Havener Center.
