Watkins elected to leadership position in IEEE society

Dr. Steve E. Watkins, professor of electrical and computer engineering, has been elected the 2019-20 vice president of educational activities and awards for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Education Society. This society is one of 39 technical societies within IEEE.
Watkins joined the Missouri S&T faculty in 1989. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from S&T and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, all in electrical engineering.
