Dr. Manashi Nath, associate professor of chemistry at S&T, will discuss nanomaterials at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, in the loft of Public House Brewing Co. in Rolla. Her talk is titled “Nanomaterials: BIG Impact with Smaller than Small Objects” and is part of the Research on Tap lecture series. It is free and open to the public.
In this talk, she’ll focus on the application of nanomaterials toward diverse functions including biomedical devices, energy storage and biosensors. Participants will learn about nanostructured solar cells, cancer treatment and diagnostic agents, and nanobiosensors.
Nath joined Missouri S&T in 2008 and conducts research on nanomaterials and materials chemistry. Her research group works on chemistry applications including alternative energy-related technology, biosensors, energy storage and cancer treatment.
