All faculty, staff instructors and graduate teaching assistant (GTA) instructors are invited to the event “Digital Literacy Lightning Rounds” 3:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center. It is sponsored by the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence. Register online or click the top link on the CAFE website, cafe.mst.edu.

This session will introduce you to several simple technologies to increase student engagement and save time. Choose three of four tools to learn about in 15-minute “lightning rounds” in which faculty presenters will share their experience with a specific tool. This includes:

  • A gameshow-type in-class quiz tool using student smart phones for formative assessment
  • Zoom integrated into your Canvas course for streamlined access for your students
  • A way of making S&T software accessible over the network on demand
  • A way to automatically grade paper quizzes

Refreshments will be provided. For more information, please contact Abby Bigg, office support associate, at bigga@mst.edu or 341-7648.
