Counseling Services now offers 13 groups to meet the needs of students. Groups are a safe place to connect with others at a deeper level, to find a place to be oneself, to learn how to give and receive support, and to experience the joy of finding one’s own “voice.” Topics include: ADHD, Asperger’s support, body image, cognitive behavioral therapy, care of problematic emotions, grad student support, healthy relationships, men’s action therapy, Miners4Recovery, safety, social confidence, test anxiety, and thriving, not just surviving.
The counseling services staff appreciates you encouraging students to consider counseling. Groups fill up fast — please ask students to contact the office by stopping by Room 204 Norwood Hall or call 341-4211.
