The department of computer science will host seminars Friday, Feb. 15, and Monday, Feb. 18. Both seminars will be held in Room 209 Computer Science Building. Refreshments will be served at 9:45 a.m. outside the room.
The speakers and topics are:
- Fenglong Ma will present “Deep Predictive Models for Mining Electronic Health Records” Friday, Feb. 15. Ma is a Ph.D. candidate in computer science and engineering at University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. His research interests are data mining and machine learning, with an emphasis on mining health-related data.
- Ruozhou Yu will present “Data-orientated and Trustworthy IoT Services for a Cyber-physical World” Monday, Feb. 18. Yu is a Ph.D. candidate in computing, informatics and decision system engineering at Arizona State University. His research interests include blockchain-based internet of things (IoT), blockchain payment channels, IoT security, big data computing and analytics.
