Graduating seniors, master’s degree students and Ph.D. students from each college are encouraged to apply for selection as a student speaker for their Spring 2019 commencement ceremony on Friday, May 17, or Saturday, May 18. The speakers, who are selected through an application process and competition, must be members of the graduating class they plan to address.

Applications are due by 8 a.m. Friday, March 1, to Krista Chambers, program support coordinator in the office of the provost, at krista@mst.edu. To read the guidelines and download an application, please visit the provost’s website at provost.mst.edu/commencementstudentspeaker.

A committee will select one speaker from the undergraduate student body and one student from the graduate student body to speak at each ceremony during the spring commencement ceremonies.
