Dr. Simon J. Bronner, Maxwell C. Weiner Distinguished Visiting Professor of Humanities, will present a workshop titled “What’s in a Book Proposal? And Other Questions About Getting Your Book Published” noon-1 p.m Wednesday, Jan. 30, in Room 101 of the Humanities and Social Sciences Building. Lunch will be provided. RSVP to Linda Bramel, executive assistant, at lindab@mst.edu.
Bronner will discuss the format and strategy for preparing a book proposal, a crucial first step in the publishing process. He will also discuss what happens after you send it in, and to whom you send it. In addition, Bronner will field questions on the current landscape of publishing based on his experience working with over a dozen publishers, editing three book series and publishing 40 books.
