Winter weather: Use caution

Rolla is under a winter storm watch from tomorrow night (Friday, Jan. 11) to Saturday night (Jan. 12) with precipitation expected through Sunday, Jan. 13. Please exercise caution and look to the university website, alert.mst.edu, for information on cancellations and winter weather safety tips.
Weather predictions vary from rain to freezing rain to snow. Heavy snow is possible across the Eastern Ozarks. Current weather models show 4-8 inches of snow with an added glaze of ice. According to the National Weather Service, the storm will track across the region from Friday afternoon into Saturday with the heaviest accumulations expected to occur from late Friday afternoon through Friday night.
