Sabri receives dissertation award

Dr. Laith Sabri recently received a Distinguished Dissertation Award. The award is given to Ph.D. students who publish three or more papers as the first author before graduating. Sabri was a graduate teaching and research assistant in chemical and biochemical engineering when he received the award. He completed his Ph.D. in December 2018.
His dissertation is titled “Characterization of the Cylinderical Split Internal-Loop Photobioreactor with Scenedesmus Microalgae: Advanced Culturing, Modeling, and Hydrodynamics.” Dr. Muthanna H. Al-Dahhan was his faculty advisor.
