Assigning written work this semester? Help your students do their best work by encouraging them to visit the Writing Center. Even the best students can benefit from feedback and guidance, and the Writing Center’s undergraduate peer consultants can make a difference. They provide a reader’s perspective on student work and employ a Socratic approach to help writers evaluate and revise their drafts.

Writing Center consultants can help with all types of documents, from essays and research papers to proposals and executive summaries. Instructors can require or suggest that their students visit the center. The online scheduling system and automatic instructor notification process make visits simple for both students and instructors.

Writing Center staff members are available to make 10-minute class presentations to introduce the center’s services. For instructors who require Writing Center visits, comprehensive presentations and workshops are also available on specific writing-related topics.

To request more information, arrange for required visits, or schedule a class presentation, contact the Writing Center at wac@mst.edu or 341-4436.
