Dr. Larry Gragg, professor emeritus of history, has been selected for the 2019-20 Missouri Humanities Council’s speakers’ bureau, named “Show Me Missouri: Conversations about Missouri’s Past, Present and Future.”

Gragg’s presentation is titled “Students Behaving Badly: Scandals, Pranks, and Discipline Problems at the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy, 1873-1959.” Gragg is writing a history book of the university to commemorate in 2020 the 150th anniversary of S&T’s founding. One of the chapters in his forthcoming book will focus on S&T pranks.

The speakers’ bureau provides historians, storytellers, researchers and authors to provide stories about Missouri’s culture, history, art and people. It is made possible through a partnership between the Missouri Humanities Council and State Historical Society of Missouri.
