Mechanical engineering professor presents at conference in India

Dr. Ashok Midha delivered a plenary talk Dec. 19 at Asian Mechanisms and Machine Science Conference (MMS) at the Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru, India. His talk was titled “In Search of Fundamentally Robust and Intrinsically Complex Designs in Pursuit of High-Performance Mechanisms and Machine Design.”

Midha is a professor of mechanical engineering and director of the Product Innovation and Creativity Center. Since 2012, the Compliant Mechanisms Symposium of the ASME Mechanisms and Robotics Conference has been named the Ashok Midha Symposium in Compliant Mechanisms and Micro/Nano Mechanisms, in recognition of the professor’s “pioneering contributions to this growing and fruitful research community.”
