At the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) 49th annual meeting in Chicago in November, faculty in S&T’s business and information technology department received two awards:
The Instructional Innovation Award was given to associate professors of business and information technology Dr. Bih-Ru Lea and Dr. LiLi Eng for their research manuscript, “Student Learning Experience and Engagement Utilizing Multi-Class Interdisciplinary Teams in an Immersive Learning Environment.”
The Best Learning and Education Research Award was given to associate professors of business and information technology Dr. Vincent Yu and Lea for their research paper, “Performance Dashboard in Higher Education: A University Career Service Case Study.”
DSI is a professional organization of academicians and practitioners interested in the application of quantitative and behavioral methods to the problems of society. It is an independent non-profit educational organization located in Houston, and receives extensive support from the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston.
