A research paper by Dr. Amy Belfi, assistant professor of psychological science, on how damage to part of the brain’s prefrontal cortex can affect memories evoked by music, was published in November in Psychomusicology: Music, Mind, and Brain, a journal of the American Psychological Association. Belfi’s paper, titled “Damage to the Medial Prefrontal Cortex Impairs Music-Evoked Autobiographical Memories,” was published online on Nov. 1.
