Winners announced at the 14th Annual Intelligent Systems Center Poster Presentation

Winners for the 14th Annual ISC Poster Presentation were announced on November 13, 2018. The poster presentation, funded by the Intelligent Systems Center, is held each year to offer graduate students the opportunity to present their research results. This year the event was held on November 13, 2018 in the Havener Center and hosted 26 participants. The winners at this year’s symposium were first place: Krishnan Raghavan, for his poster “A Minimax Approach for Classification with Big-Data”; second place: Yingqi Li, for the poster “Additive Manufacturing of Metallic Glass by Laser Foil Printing”; and third place: Md Moniruzzaman, for poster “Human Action Recognition by Discriminative Feature Pooling and Video Segment Attention Model.” Each student will be presented an award from the ISC Director, Dr. Ming Leu, and Symposium Chair Frank Liou. Student advisors are Drs. Jagannathan Sarangapani, Ming Leu, and Zhaozheng Yin and Ruwen Qin.
