Fire alarm testing underway

The facility services staff, in conjunction Tech Electronics, is inspecting campus building fire alarm panels. The process started Nov. 12 and will conclude Monday, Dec. 10. Signs will be posted on the doors of the buildings on the day of testing. All aspects of the fire alarms will be tested – strobe lights, smoke detectors and horns, which may beep for up to 15 seconds during the testing.

Inspections will be conducted in the following buildings:

  • Bureau of Mines Buildings 1, 2, 3
  • Butler Carlton Hall
  • Centennial Hall
  • Computer Science Building
  • Curtis Laws Wilson Library
  • Custodial and Landscape Services Building
  • Emerson Hall
  • Engineering Management Building
  • Engineering Research Laboratory
  • Fulton Hall
  • Harris Hall
  • Humanity and Social Sciences Building
  • Interdisciplinary Engineering Building
  • James E Bertelsmeyer Hall
  • Kennedy Experimental Mine Building
  • Kummer Student Design Center
  • Norwood Hall
  • Parker Hall
  • Physics Building
  • Rolla Building
  • Schrenk Hall
  • Southwestern Bell Cultural Center
  • Straumanis-James Hall
