Student selected as ‘next gen scientist’

Reading by kerosene lamp as a child in Western Nepal, S&T graduate student Shyam Paudel now strives to end energy poverty. He is one of two students selected to lead the Next Generation Scientists for Biodiesel program. He will co-chair the program with William Gray, a student at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey.

Managed by the National Biodiesel Board, the Next Generation Scientists for Biodiesel is a student professional organization to help foster collaboration, networking, and career development.
