The MAE Graduate Seminar Series will feature Dr. Kon-Well Wang, the Stephen P. Timoshenko Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. Wang will present his seminar, “From Muscles to Plants – Nature-inspired Multifuctional Adaptive Metastructures” 3:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, in Room 199 Toomey Hall.
The MAE graduate seminar series is presented by mechanical and aerospace engineering and the Academy of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineers.
Wang’s main technical interests are in adaptive structural systems and structural dynamics. He has received numerous recognitions for his accomplishments, including the Pi Tau Sigma-ASME Charles Russ Richards Memorial Award.
