Dr. Dave Westenberg was recently featured in a video and published two invited blog posts for professional organizations, all focused strategies for public engagement with science.
At the 2018 American Society for Microbiology MICROBE conference in Atlanta on July 30, Westenberg participated in a studio session on “New engaging approaches for science communication” with fellow scientists Dr. Jennifer Gardy and Dr. Kathryn Elliott. The program is now available on the ASM YouTube channel. Watch the video.
He wrote “BioInteractive Resources for Public Engagement with Science” for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s BioInteractive Blog. His article, “What It’s Like to Volunteer at a Science Festival,” was posted on the American Society for Microbiology’s blog May 16.
