University of Missouri System President Mun Choi introduced the first class of the Presidential Engagement Fellows April 13, 2018, during a Board of Curators meeting.
If you need a speaker for your club or group, the University of Missouri System Presidential Engagement Fellows program provides a speakers bureau. Each speaker is a faculty member at one of the four universities in the UM System.
Topics vary widely and include pets and successful aging, history of Missouri, exploring the starts and revitalizing communities. To see a full list of speakers and topics or to request a speaker please visit the Presidential Engagement Fellows website.
Three S&T faculty are presidential engagement fellows: Dr. Diana Ahmad, Curators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor of history and political science; Dr. Joel Burken, Curators’ Distinguished Professor and chair of civil, architectural and environmental engineering; and Dr. Catherine Johnson, assistant professor of mining and nuclear engineering.
