The Sustainable Ozarks Partnership will hold its annual meeting 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Ark in Waynesville, Missouri. The meeting is free and open to the public. Attendees will receive a free, boxed lunch. RSVP online by Monday, Aug. 20. A free boxed lunch will be provided for attendees.
Through the Sustainable Ozarks Partnership, S&T and Fort Leonard Wood partner with communities in the region to address environmental, economic, workforce, community, transportation and social issues. Members of the partnership will report on accomplishments, consider the organization’s performance over the past year, and set objectives for the coming year. Approximately 150 business, governmental, civic, and military leaders and community members from the Pulaski, Phelps, Laclede and Texas counties are expected to attend.
Speakers will include Joe Driskill, Missouri military advocate; Jim Holland, program director for the Department of Defense Office of Economic Adjustment, and Mike Dubois, director of policy and business development for Kit Bond Strategies.
