Scholar’s Mine achieves certification

Following a yearlong process, Scholar’s Mine has received Core Trust Seal certification, which affirms sustainable and trustworthy data infrastructures.
Scholar’s Mine is Missouri S&T’s online repository of research papers, creative works and other documents.
“This certification is important to S&T researchers and faculty because many national and international funders are now requiring that data be stored in a secure open data environment,” says John Furlong, director of Curtis Laws Wilson Library. “By receiving this certification, S&T researchers can add that their research data will meet these international requirements to their funding applications.”
Scholar’s Mine is one of 37 repositories in the United States and 130 worldwide with this certification.
