Dr. Daniel Oerther, professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, has been named a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. Originally established in the United Kingdom in 1883, more than 8,000 members are dedicated to enhancing environmental health and promoting the highest standards in the training and education of environmental health professionals.
“Inter-professional education and collaborative practice among environmental health professionals is one of my passions,” says Oerther. “I am thrilled to grow my global network and bring the best in environmental health education and practice to our students at Missouri S&T.”
Recognition as a fellow is the highest honor the Board of Trustees can bestow upon a member and is awarded in recognition of distinctive service to environmental health or evidence of special knowledge or ability in relation to the work of environmental health.
