Two new courses, both called “Sustainability as Trope and Theme in Latin America” will be offered online during the second four weeks of the 2018 summer semester. The class is asynchronous (students complete their work on their own time). No textbook is required; students will use a selection of publications and online resources.

Dr. Kathryn Northcut, professor of English and technical communication, will teach the course. Students will explore how people think and write about sustainability, using Latin American countries and features as examples.

The course may work well for students who are working in a co-op or otherwise out of town, and who need an elective course. The class counts toward the sustainability, global studies, and technical communication minors. The course name is TCH COM 3001 for undergraduate students and TCH COM 5001 for graduate students, class No. 72462.

For more information, please contact Northcut at 341-6498 or northcut@mst.edu.
