Speaker to discuss building bridges between engineers

The Center for Infrastructure Engineering Studies (CIES) will host a research seminar for faculty and students at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, in Room 121 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. Dr. Miguel A. Vicente, associate professor of civil engineering at the University of Burgos in Spain, will give a talk titled “Building Bridges Between Engineers.” Bagels and coffee will be provided.
During the past 20 years, Vicente has collaborated with several engineers from other disciplines, such as aeronautics and mechanics. He will discuss how civil engineers can learn a lot about the know-how of other engineering disciplines, and vice versa.
