Dr. Daniel Oerther, professor of environmental health engineering, has been elected to a three-year term on the Phelps County Extension Council. His term as vice chair began in March and will run through February 2019.
The Phelps County Extension Council is a partner with Missouri’s land-grant universities to deliver education and research-based information that helps people solve real-world problems and take advantage of opportunities to advance Missouri and Missourians. As a member of the council, Oerther will work with extension specialists to provide educational programs, manage finances of county-wide extension operations, and conduct council business, which includes elections of future council members.
Oerther’s prior civic service includes the Climate Protection Steering Committee of Cincinnati and the Green Practices Commission of University City, Missouri.
