DNA nanostructure research led by Dr. Risheng Wang is published in and featured on the cover of a recent issue of Journal of Materials Chemistry B. The study, “Time-lapse Live Cell Imaging to Monitor Doxorubicin Release from DNA Origami Nanostructures,” is published in the March 21 issue of the Royal Society of Chemistry publication.

Wang is an assistant professor of chemistry at S&T. Her co-authors at S&T include Dr. Yun Zeng, postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Wenyan Liu, chemist in energy and environment research, and Shuo Yang, Ph.D. student in chemistry. They collaborated with Dr. Liang Xu and Jiajun Liu from the University of Kansas, Lawrence.

Articles about the research study have been published by several media outlets, including AI Magazine, Controlled Environments and Physics News.

The study was supported by University of Missouri Research Board, Missouri S&T’s Materials Research Center and Center for Biomedical Research, the National Institutes of Health, and the Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program Breakthrough Level II.
