Retirement reception planned for Joyce Abbott

The campus community is invited to honor Joyce Abbott during a retirement reception 2:30-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at the Puck. She joined Missouri S&T in 1985 as a reservationist in auxiliary services. During her 33 years at the university, Abbott has also worked in the human resources department and in finance and operations, where she currently serves as an executive assistant. In case of inclement weather, the reception will be moved to Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall’s atrium.
