Harvard physics professor to headline teaching conference

S&T educators are invited to the University of Missouri-Columbia’s annual Celebration of Teaching Conference on Tuesday, May 15, and Wednesday, May 16. Dr. Eric Mazur will be the keynote speaker.

Mazur is the Balkanski Professor of Physics and Applied Physics and dean of applied physics at Harvard University, member of the faculty of education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and president elect of the Optical Society. If you cannot attend the entire conference, please consider coming to the keynote address at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, in Jesse Auditorium on the MU campus in Columbia.

Dr. Saundra Yancy McGuire will give the closing presentation. Yancy McGuire is director emerita of the Center for Academic Success and retired assistant vice chancellor and professor of chemistry at Louisiana State University.
