Dr. Tony Frankino will present a biological sciences lecture, “Research-based Learning in the Galapagos” at noon Tuesday, March 6, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center. Frankino is an associate chair and associate professor in biology and biochemistry at the University of Houston.
Frankino researches how variation in physiological mechanisms produces evolutionarily important phenotypic variation, and how this influences adaptive evolution.
He will also present a seminar to the S&T biological sciences department, titled “The Development, Evolution and Ecology of Animal Form” at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 5, in Room 256 Toomey Hall. For more information, please contact biosci@mst.edu.
