Westenberg receives funding to engage public in biology topics

Dr. Dave Westenberg received funding from Building with Biology to host a public forum on synthetic biology this summer at Missouri S&T. Missouri S&T is one of just over 20 sites selected nationwide. Building with Biology is a nationwide project funded by the National Informal STEM Education Network.
The funding includes participation in a public forum at the Museum of Science in Boston, resources for hosting a forum at Missouri S&T and participation in assessment of the effectiveness of the forum for public engagement in science.
