A search committee has been created to assist in finding the next associate provost for faculty affairs at Missouri S&T, who will begin serving in that role Friday, June 1. The position will be a full-time equivalent (FTE) position with 80 percent of the time performing administrative duties as associate provost and 20 percent of the time serving as a faculty member in the individual’s home department. Dr. Melanie Mormile, professor of biological sciences, has served as associate provost of faculty affairs since 2016.
“My thanks goes to Dr. Melanie Mormile,” says Dr. Robert Marley, provost and executive vice president of academic affairs. “She has served us well as associate provost for faculty affairs. Dr. Mormile will return to her home department to pursue additional research, teaching and special interest goals.”
