Student art award winners announced, see art online

The Curtis Laws Wilson Library is pleased to announce the award winners of the fall 2017 Student Art in the Library Exhibition. Members of the Art in the Library Committee and a local artist, Orval Reeves, judged the works. Exhibit visitors voted for the People’s Choice winner.
The winners are:
- Best of Show: Taylor M. Davis, “Genoveffa,” glass
- People’s Choice: Madison E. Bowen, “Sloth with Choccy Milk,” acrylic painting
- Honorable Mention: Ben Palmer, “Dawn on the Farm,” acrylic painting
- Notable Work: Taylor M. Davis, untitled, glass
- Notable Work: Darian H. Emmett, “Mending the Break,” digital painting
- Notable Work: Erika J. Simple, “Peace of Mind,” acrylic painting
