RESPOND training planned Jan. 9

Counseling Services will present a University of Missouri System-licensed program, RESPOND, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, St. Pat’s A Ballroom of the Havener Center. There is no cost to attend. RESPOND was designed to train students, faculty and staff on how to recognize and provide initial assistance to people with mental health concerns.
The RESPOND program was developed by Dr. Christy Hutton, assistant director for outreach and prevention in counseling services at the University of Missouri-Columbia, with the support of the UM System Board of Curators.
Workshop attendees will receive a light breakfast along with a healthy lunch. To register, please contact Sandy Ray, office support assistant in counseling services, at slray@mst.edu or 341-4211.
