Student health services has seen an increase in students who have presented symptoms of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea over the past 24 hours. Low-grade fever and body aches are present in some students as well. The cases are not localized to any one campus or community building.

Student health recommends following these tips to help prevent the spread of illness:

  • Practice proper hand hygiene – wash hands carefully with soap and water
  • Clean and disinfect any contaminated surfaces

Student health is coordinating with residential life and student affairs to provide information to the community and care for students. If symptoms arise, students should visit student health services at 910 W. 10th St. Students absent from class due to illness for three or more consecutive days, and unable to make contact with their instructors, may request an absence notification through the Dean of Students office by contacting dos@mst.edu or 573-341-4209.

Missouri S&T faculty and staff who exhibit these symptoms should contact their healthcare provider.
